Wine and Dine

A program to meet other adult members of our community in small groups sharing a meal as well as themselves.

One of the goals of Blessed Kateri Parish is to foster a true and lasting sense of Christian Community. In Wine-N-Dine people of different backgrounds, ages, and interests can come together to share the gifts of each other. The plan is for an informal meal at the home of the host. Those who choose to join will be formed into various groups of about 6 which will be different for each get-together (so that you get to meet different members each time). It is usually a weekend dinner, but if the group chooses it may be brunch or barbeque or other meal decided by that group of six. Members provide part of the dinner as agreed to in conversation with the designated host. In addition to the opportunity to get to know members of the community this is a chance to show our Christianity. The success of the program depends on the members, hosts must keep the promise to organize and host a meal, others must make a firm commitment to participate at the agreed upon date and time including that part of the meal decided in discussion with the host. If you are interested in participating in this social ministry please sign-up by completing the form  below. This has been a very successful program in our parish, but it was suspended for a time because of the disappointment when members of groups were unable to fulfill their responsibility and just dropped out. All that is required is an honest promise to participate with the understanding that you notify the coordinators if you need to quit for some reason.

Please feel free to call the Parish Center @ (973) 729-1682 with any questions.
