Tickets available after Masses for the acclaimed one-man performance of Scripture by TV star and Catholic Scholar Frank Runyeon.

"Signs, The Gospel of John"

Best known for starring opposite Meg Ryan on CBS, Frank left Hollywood in the 90’s to attend seminary. He now hopes to help his audience rediscover the power of the central stories of Scripture.

Frank will perform his one-man show, "Signs", his interpretation of the Gospel of John here at Blessed Kateri On Saturday, January 17th. Mark your calendar now and plan to bring the whole family. This show is appropriate for Age 8 and up. Babysitting will be provided for families with little ones.

Audience members are addressed individually as the actor roams the room… They are invited to "come and see," they become part of the crowd witnessing the signs, they are healed, given bread, and challenged to believe…

Sixth Graders from Blessed Kateri Serve at Manna House

While most Sparta 11-year-olds were “sleeping in” on their day off from school last week, these youths from Blessed Kateri Parish decided to get up early and put their faith into practice.  Nine sixth graders from Mrs. Stote's and Mrs. Penna’s religious education class met at Manna House in Newton to prepare and serve lunch for the less fortunate.  Kitchen duty was an eye-opener for many of the kids, who had never before wielded a potato peeler or scrubbed a pot.  The experience also gave them a chance to learn firsthand the true meaning of the biblical words, “I was hungry and you fed me”.  Manna House, a soup kitchen that operates out of the First Presbyterian Church, feeds hot lunches five days a week to anyone who walks through the door – no questions asked.
